Well Christmas is behind us now and the New Year is fast approaching. I think 2013 will be a good year for me.
We have had our first snow and I used the snow blower/tractor for the parking lot for the first time last night. To say it was fun is a stretch but it did sure make it easier than shoveling the whole thing in addition to doing the driveway at the house. Another additional help was to use the spreader to put down salt.
How did I feel Christmas was well... it was long and it had its highs and lows. Being open Christmas eve was a plus, had several sales.
I added another outlet for flower sales by working with an independent grocery store. It did not add too much but did sale a few arrangements out of it. We will be doing it again for Valentines day.

It is my hope everyone would stop using the order gathers like;
  • 1800 flowers
  • Proflowers
  • Just Flowers
  • Teleflora
  • FTD
  • and more.
It is so simple to look up on the internet and call the local florist in town and get what you what. If you are unsure if you are calling a "real" florist all you have to do is ask if they have a brick and mortar building and can you come in and see there place. If their answer is no HANG UP. If you look on line the real florists (for the most part) are not at the top of the page.  Too much of your money is lost on going to these places because of the extra charges to process the order.

Real florists have three charges
  1. The price you wish to spend on the arrangement/plant or anything you choose
  2. A delivery charge-this varies depending on how far away the order goes from the shop.
  3. State/local taxes.
If you are having the florist wire out flowers for you, there is a small  not a % of the order.
